Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fish fillets
  • 2 medium onions (chopped)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Smash the fish fillets into small cubes or desired shapes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  4. Add onions, green chilies, and sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  5. Add tomatoes and sauté until the tomatoes turn mushy.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add fish pieces, Mix well.
  8. Cover and cook until the fish is cooked through and tender.
  9. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
